Condensation inside machine
« on: 26/08/2019, 01:56 PM »
Hi all.

Saturday morning just gone I picked up my machine from a service.
She feels like a new machine but I have a couple of issues.
I now am getting condensation inside the inner walls of the casing. This morning after it had been turned off for an hour or so it was wet on the cupboard top underneath.
It also still has a slight leak, occasional drip, from the steam arm.

It looks like a trip back to the repair place is on the cards but was just wondering if  there was anything obvious I could check first.

Thanks.

Yep... it’s an issue with the steam arm and corrosion or over-tightening of the bolts. The service Centre will have a fix for it!

She's going back Monday morning.
Hubby thought they may have spilled some water in there while flushing things and it just needed time to dry up but it seems that isn't the case.
I've had some wonderful coffee out of it though the past few days.

My guess would be a pin-hole leak in the thread of the steam arm or hopefully just a loose connection. The first one is unfortunately not uncommon in these types of machines and requires the steam assembly replaced. Easy fix for your service centre.

Fingers crossed for an easy, preferably cheap, fix.
