this is my kind of health research (esp. #1): http://www.mind.uci.edu/research-studies/90plus-study

Some of the major findings are:
1) People who drank moderate amounts of alcohol or coffee lived longer than those who abstained.
2) People who were overweight in their 70s lived longer than normal or underweight people did.

yep and there's a good body of research on the benefits of black vs white coffee as well

as soon as you add milk or sugar to coffee, your body begins to metabolize it differently, with black coffee being fat burning, and white coffee becoming fat storing

I've been drinking a lot of filter coffee recently and I'm really noticing the difference!
