Hi guys, Happy New Year; this is the post as promised a couple of days ago... firstly just a reminder of, and thanks to your volunteer team - Brett H - our longest serving mod; Pat, who was a mod shortly after I started (what was then the Crema) forum and of course Kelsey, joint admin. who very kindly covers the hosting of the site. Also thanks to Paul (K-Bean), our newest mod.

Just wanted to remind you of the ethos of the forum - it is absolutely volunteer-run with no profit incentive; therefore we rely on members' input and are always ready to consider any positive suggestions. So if you can think of anything you think needs improving or any great ideas, please feel free to post on this thread.

Happy New Year.... almost.... one and all!!

This is a good question Admin.  I think Jeff (MyCuppa) gave a pretty prophetic projection of the future of coffee forums. Nonetheless, we who love them love pictures, stories and bargains. So, as KK is the king of photo upload protocols and is always kind enough to lend a helping hand I reckon we get snapping and make more pictures than words. Who knows, Donald may even find us with all of his spare time.

I'll definitely have a think guys, but at a loss of ideas hehe!

Will try to post more pics etc, and I guess it comes down to why everyone individually uses the forum. I like it for the connection and sense of community, as I have literally no one around I can discuss and share my passion for coffee with, which is why I joined the forums. I love discussing all things coffee, especially the technical side of different techniques, espresso extraction tips, latte art, roasting, manual brewing, and just generally how to work towards improving and getting the best drink possible. And it's very much a deeper process for me in aiming towards improving, perfecting the process and trying to reach that god shot hehe.

Funnily I've never been into the different espresso machines, gizmos and pics of them (certainly still appreciate them), but love the learning aspect, so it's great being able to discuss these sorts of things for me.

Will have a ponder!
