Some of us aren't allowed to see the pictures over there. Members only, secret squirrel stuff.

Ah, that'd be it.  A La Cimbali micro lever in Brisbane sold for $250 in perfect working order off the bay only the other day.  I believe that they have boiler issues eventually but a bargain washed none the less.  That price is good if its only seals and it is in mint condition.

I was watching one for a potential refurb project and did some research. The cast aluminum boiler has major design flaws, particularly with the too-thin rim that corrodes and is difficult or impossible to repair.

Full disclosure: I have commercial arrangements with Bezzera (AU) and Londinium Espresso. I am not required to market them on this forum & any opinions expressed are my own.

Is that the La Cim you are taking about?  I so I believe you are correct and once the boiler goes, it's a write-off.  Someone who knows please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yep, there was a micro cimbali on eBay in poor condition that I thought could be an interesting project. Plenty of parts available, but boilers are particularly vulnerable to corrosion and hard to replace.

I'm keen on finding something similar at done point however.

Grimac 20/Eclisse compact.

Was in a coffee cart. User forgot to strap it down......
Repaired the metal work. Wouldn't know unless you pulled it apart.
Plastic side is repaired but you can see the break easily.

Then went into another cart doing about 12kg a week.
Has issues with the buttons. One or two don't work. Cannot get into the programming mode. Sometimes it starts pouring through the right group by itself.
Sometimes the boiler will refill by itself when it shouldn't.

Then was told that it shorted out a power point at the users home and shorted out at where she worked. Plugged into another point it started to work but only the left group. The right group started to work later in the day.

Don't have the time to fix. You are free to take away my problem...
Please note that it is a 15amp machine. It is twin element so if you did convert it would take a long time to heat up.
Pickup in Warburton or Dandenong South. May be be able to deliver in the eastern suburbs.

Sorry KK, no.

It is your typical three runner bike trailer, no cover at all.

Forgot to mention, location Sydney North West

A couple of 3 group machine that will go to the tip if not taken by the weekend (24/05).
You must pick up, Warburton Vic.

The Visa crem works other than the steam levers don't "lock on". 3.8Kw.

I haven't turned on the Ciao Bella. The element tests ok on a multimeter. It is a 25amp machine.

Come on guys and gals.  Lets keep stuff like this out of the tip please!  https://www.freecycle.org/ is a great place to advertise stuff and people come and pick it up from your house.  It's great to give our members first offers though, we appreciate that but with our members living is such diverse locations people can't always pickup stuff easily.

Also that scrap value in that would be worth a few $$.  We have scrap places here that are closer than the tip, and take anything metal of value.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! :)

I am tempted, just to have a play with another machine.

Happy to pick up if somebody wants one but can't get to Warburton.  Nice place for a day trip and haven't been there for a while
