Mario's Restaurant. At the Glynde, opposite the Glynde hotel. It's been there forever. Went there last night as a family group. Good food (Italian of course) Excellent service. Reasonable prices. Kid friendly. Most important of course the coffee, I ordered a double ristretto at the end of the evening and found it very much to my taste, a friend from Melbourne ordered the same and found it a little bitter though quite acceptable (keep in mind this is an Italian area) SWMBO ordered a cappuccino, said she enjoyed it but still preferred my home efforts from the Bezzera, perhaps she was playing the diplomat ;D Had a chat to the owner, complimented him on his coffee, and talked about things espresso for a few minutes, very pleasant guy, as we were walking out the door he handed me a 250 gram tin of the blend they use, more about that in another post. All in all a very successful evening. 😉
