I actually collected the debris over a week or so in the waste tray of my Mazzer Mini, no special treatment, just left em lay where they were till I had enough, when I had sufficient I pulled a shot, you know it wasn't all that bad, I've certainly had much worse that has cost me $3.50 a cup.
Certainly make ya wonder about the processes employed by some commercial establishments. 😉
