Koffee_Kosmo Roasting today on the KKTO A 1 kg blend of 600 gr of Guatemala Arabica Antigua 400 gr of Sumatra Kuda Mass KK
GaryatGala Mild sunny day for roasting yesterday. 500gm roasted each of Brazilian monte allegro in the KKTO 250gm colombian supremo decaf Rwandan inzovu co op Colombian hacienda Costa rica la pala Indian elk robusta in the twin corettos. Those great beans come from Bean Green.
Brett_H That is a seriously cool double bungee coretto!! Nice beans too....mother do alright that BeanGreen mob eh :thumb:
GaryatGala Thanks Brett [emoji5] Considering it,s free freight for beans over $75, it is great value from western australia where freight costs more compared to other parts of oz.
Koffee_Kosmo GaryatGala wrote: Sounds great KK. Any pics? Roasting 2 kg this arvo. Pics to come. [emoji328] This is a quick but terrible photo as I think the ugly Sumatrans in the blend are not photographic models 😉 Looks much better live [attach=1]
samuellaw178 This is my current corretto setup. Works great, but setting up and cleaning afterwards is a nightmare. :tearhair: Sulawesi My normal roast batch is 350g. But I'm starting to roast for other friend, so trying to bump up to get 2 x 250g roasted in a session. Did 620g Sulawesi. Ended up over & under roasted, with first crack happening as low as 195 stretching towards 210 degree. 😛 So 2x250g is not possible. Ethiopian Gambella Lesson learnt and for the next batch I reduced the batch to 500g Ethiopian Gambella. Result looked ok, though the sundried beans aren't the prettiest. Look forward to tasting them and that means another 7 days of waiting. =/

My roasts of the sumatrans have also looked mottley. Just as well since they are at their best at the start of second crack. Great body as espresso.[emoji6]
cosmic_couple22 Love roasting on the SilverStreak. [attach=1] Brazil Mt Alegre 2kg Loaded at 140 - FC at 186 - dropped at 13:40 @ 203 [attach=2] 2kg Loaded at 135 - FC at 192 - dropped at 13:15 @ 205 :thumb: C.
galumay I am roasting my usual blend, i had some nice feedback though, Peter Holmes a Court dropped in on Saturday morning for a coffee before flying down to Sydney for the NRL Grand Final, he said it was the best coffee he had ever had...anywhere! He took a bag with him to take back to New York. Tonite I sold 8 bags to a group of CBA executives who had been on one of our cultural tours - i have started supplying ground coffee for the plungers and they went wild about it! Now busy roasting to catch up with the production for my normal customers as that cleaned me out!

Hope you talked up a home grown design - The KKTO roaster If they want to finance me to produce the next version - I am waiting for there phone call KK
galumay I did talk up the KKTO - and the important place it played in between the 'toy' home roasters and the very expensive commercial roasters - as well as the brilliant guy that created it!! Peter should have a bit more free cash flow this week!
RichardM Roasting up some PNG Kokoda Organic today. Odd looking mix of beans from tiny peaberry through to massive half beans. Will be interesting to see how it goes in the cup. http://beangreen.com.au/product-info.php?pid98.html
cosmic_couple22 Bathurst or roasting on the SilverStreak , roasting won ;D [attach=1] 2 bean blend [attach=2] Mmmm Nekisse Both roasted on a declining ror profile approx. 10mins to FC at 192 finished at 202 @13:30 and 13:45. The Nekisse is very even and lighter than appears in the photo , similar to the blend but sun disappeared when I snapped it. Chester
