Like that other former well known (Big) Kev, I'm excited :exclaim: I guess my journey into serious coffee began about 12 years ago when I was being educated in bodywork, (Human, not cars) where a Saeco Via Venezia was available for the coffee breaks. I started using a stovetop and plunger before (and after) buying my own VV in 2002. Had fun and games (now known as learning experience) with it until moving on to an Isomac Venus in 2009 and then, with an attack of upgrade-itis, got my current Expobar Minore III. During these times I did courses with one or two well known coffee identities in the Newcastle and Hunter region. My first (decent) grinder purchase was an Ascaso I mini, then the BCG800 and just weeks ago invested in a beaut Mazzer Mini. The thing is, being passionate about coffee, I still have them all along with one or two hand grinders for my on the road Aeropress. I also have not often used Belgium Royal balance/vacuum coffee maker. Roasting for two+ years with a Behmor 1600. I currently work as a remedial massage and stretch therapist after (too) many years as a tradie and supervisor in the metal/construction industry. Now enjoying my work, my coffee, my friends and importantly, breathing. That's it in a (rather large) nutshell folks. Looking forward to the journey. Kev.
