Hi All, Been playing the coffee game for nearly 4 years now. Learnt a lot from a 6910 with the grinder that came with it (forgotten the model no.), currently using Alex Duetto II v3 with Breville Smart grinder (that I want to upgrade very soon!). Roast my own on a modded popper - roast about 120g green per batch, up to batch #316. Usually drink small flat whites with the odd straight shot thrown in here and there mostly for cupping purposes. Live in Toowoomba, currently work as a stay-at-home Dad (they let me out sometimes 😉) and the odd paid job here and there when the timing works. Pete

Thanks for the warm welcome all. Special hi to RichardM (perhaps we can get together sometime and compare brews?) and to Lacehim - this is my 6th year on the home-dad job, so its really nice to know someone else here is in the same boat. Hello fellow coffee lovers, I'm just another coffee enthusiasts from Brisbane. Just a thought that I should drop a hi to everyone. I have been wanting to learn more about coffee but I don't have extra cash to pay for barista training (it's getting really expensive). Your effort to learn the language and use correct spelling is much appreciated. You might wish to check out the 'chat box' on the forum main page (if you haven't already done so). It can get quite lively at times although not all the chatter is coffee related.

Thanks KK, Yes, I will have to travel to Indonesia in search of working opportunity. I have been out of work for sometimes, and I have decided to move back to Indonesia. Who knows I'll get a job there. Anyone knows where to get a good coffee in Jakarta? I might have to learn to roast my own supply 😃

Hi all, I'm from Sydney's Inner West, I've been in to coffee for about 4 years. Started with a Breville Ikon and Sunbeam EM0450. But the Ikon bit the dust last week after serving me well (amazing value in my eyes & I was getting some good coffee from this machine). I have purchased a brand new Rancilio Silvia, just waiting on delivery & have been looking for information on my new machine and happened upon this site. Seems like a good source of info and discussion so joined up. Look forward to chatting with you guys.

My gear includes a variety of mocha pots, french presses, a siphon pot (my fav way to do light roasts!) and a Gastroback (Breville) "Pro G", single boiler with integrated grinder. Just enough that my wife complains about all the space it takes, but honestly I'd love to grow my collection 5 fold... I confess to having a Latte most mornings. If I have any good light or medium roast south/central american beans on hand, I'll do a siphon or french press in the afternoon. Failing that, a long or short espresso. I'm a Canadian expat now based in Europe, but I travel extensively for work. I'm a resident of Poland, but currently staying in the Czech Republic. Nice to meet you all...
