Never tried it, but it is high on my todo list. Just got to get the requisite hardware. Will my porlex grind fine enough do you think?

The best grind for Greek/Turkish style coffee is a consistency like talcum powder KK

Yes - it can be very nice, especially light roasted beans. Folks please be aware that in some cases attempting to grind for Turkish/Greek could cause considerable wear and/or failure to your grinder - just be careful. I receive a lot of requests for this type of grind and even though I own some big grinders, we still managed to kill a grinder a few years ago. For this reason, I no longer provide this type of grind. Turkish/Greek grind is best performed on special-purpose grinders that operate a little differently to your traditional flat burr unit.

Just a thought here might be nice to start or even revisit some existing brew threads on the different methods my coffee level isn't high enough to follow this one jumping from one to the next. :o

I just saw the associated price also.... it's way out of my price range for a manual method! I'm sure that it is manufactured to last and uses first class materials however.

Very interesting how technology changes form but doesn't do a lot to function. The pricing spins me out too. I wonder how many of those 100 year old siphons could be found for sale if any at all...

I had access to a stone grinder but not any more Now I have to save up and purchase one made for flour & also perfect for Turkish coffee Or one of these KK

And here's what I used the other day for a long black. It said on the instructions it brews coffee, so obviously I had to go for it. Not the best I have done, but with some tweaking of dose and steep time, definitely capable of making a good brew.

We have one identical in blue used for loose-leaf tea. Makes a great cup of tea.

I don't think there is a "best" method, just different ones, and everyone's taste is different. I would recommend trying the Clever Coffee Dripper (CCD), which is a different way of pour over, and the Aeropresso. Both are pretty inexpensive, but both can make good cups of coffee, if you have a good grinder and fresh beans. I have an espro press on its way to me now, but have not tried it yet.
