Qld Coffee Culture gathering

RichardM

I nominate Lacehim's house, mid July?

Kelsey

Seconded, tho I'd prefer as soon as possible - baby due on the 23rd and likely to come earlier than later.

Lacehim

Well fingers crossed Jack has that new group on it's way. Pad out a date, and let me know. I'm pretty easy.

Kelsey

I'll put my bid in for Saturday the 7th or Sunday the 8th of July.

Lacehim

Ok I talked to the mrs and she didn't complain too much. So, any takers for a coffee social at North Sunshine Coast (Peregian)? Dates can be either Sat 14th or Sat 28th July or later if you want, say 10am-2pm. I can fire up the woodfired oven and make a few pizzas, I have a KKTO & the lusso. Happy for anyone to bring along a machine to play with or just drop in for a chat and a coffee (if the lusso can handle a crowd!). No problem with kids, got a back yard, swing set etc. Only 13 mins drive to Noosa Hopsital Kesley! 😉 And you an all take a baby coffee plant away with you! I've got far too many!

Kelsey

The 14th will probably still be OK, but by hook or by crook, the 28th will definitely be out for me!

Lacehim

Okay Poll is up for 7 days ( 🙂 My first poll ever). If it looks like a clear favourite beforehand I will declare a date and set it. Get your votes in early! 😉 Times will be 10am to 2pm. FYI from Brisbane CBD It takes 2 hours to get to my house. Plenty of parking, the beach is 5 mins away, and only 15 mins from Noosa, so you could always make a day of it!

Brett_H

Sorry guys, I'm out for this one but hopefully next time. :thumb:

Koffee_Kosmo

I am unable to attend My apologies KK

Lacehim

I've PM'd everyone that's responded previously to this thread (I left out a few that have already responded since the poll went up). At least you won't all feel left out, and tell me you didn't know about it! Why not car pool? Worked for Kelsey and I when we came down the the last one 🙂

derrilex

I guess I'm pretty easy with either date at this stage. - need that option in the poll Lacehim. Could car pool with AM, wild ride that one

RichardM

14th July and I'm at sunshine coast anyway. As long as it's during daylight hours, and I'm there. I can bring pizza toppings if required 😃

And many thanks for doing so! I can't come out to play this month due to killer work committments 😢 Normally, any excuse will see me heading up the coast. Looking forward to the next one and some quiet at work...

derrilex

Whatever suited your other commitments :thumb:

Rightyo. Overwhelming support for the 14th so I'm going with that! Date: 14th July 2012 Location: (Please PM me (Lacehim) so that I know who's coming/numbers and I will supply address and phone number just in case you get lost!) Time: 10am to 2pm (hopefully that will suit you Brisbane people) Bring along anything you wish to show and tell (please please bring your lever AM, I would love to see it and have a try). If you can bring some milk if you like it milky, a plate of something nice to share, or some pizza toppings if you fancy something fancy. 🙂 I'll supply the pizza's, I've roasted some coffee, but feel free to bring something along if you want to try it on the Lusso or AM's machine. If you want to try a KKTO, bring some green and we can roast it up as a demo. If anyone is interest I'll be happy to let you have a go on my KKTO. As previously noted, kids are more then welcome. We will be outside, but have a small cubby, swing set. Fingers crossed for good weather!

Lacehim

I was considering posting up on CS, but the social thread seems to have 'disappeared'. Maybe they don't want their members getting out into the real world? I might PM a few that I know, but then again I posted for a social there in the past and had a party on my own! 😢

Dizzy

I'll be there with Pete & kids in tow - will PM you. I'll suss out whether I can put an invitation up on CS. Are you still a member there that people can PM, Lacehim? Cheers Di

Dizzy

All sussed, Lacehim - all good to post it in the General Coffee area...The Social Snobs wasn't removed to discourage get-togethers, just because it was so under utilised so it was decided to just move it to General Coffee Related instead. Cheers Di

madpierre

Thanks for the heads up Lacehim...I've been somewhat out of many loops this year and would have loved to come up but it is impossible to make next Saturday. Hope you fellas (and any fella'esses) have a fine afternoon. :thumb: :thumb:

Lacehim

Thanks to Di for posting up on CS. Link here http://w.coffeesnobs.com.au/showthread.php?32331-Brisbane-Lever-Lover-s-Get-Together If you know of anyone on CS that might be interested let them know where to look! CS deleted the social area and it might get lost in the a sea of posts about the forums "new look". :pan If your coming please PM me so I can get numbers. A PM will be forwarded later this week for all attending with address etc. 🙂
