Lacehim All the beans are turning red on my trees. Pulled a container off yesterday and tomorrow I'll probably get another. Certainly going to be enough for a decent roast with this years crop! 🙂 Now the hardwork starts! ;D
Koffee_Kosmo That's fantastic :thumb: My trees will probably be producing beans next year Well my fingers are crossed that will happen
Koffee_Kosmo I have been observing the coffee trees this spring Over winter they have been fertilised with seasol liquid fertiliser and slow release granules The result has been masses of shoots that at first looked like new leaf growth However it is flower buds growing [attachimg=1]
Koffee_Kosmo It's been a long wait but eventualy the coffee cherries are starting to take form They were small for a very long time
Lacehim My big one looks a bit sick these days. Must investigate it. the leaves are all yellow looking. 🙁
cosmic_couple22 When did you give them a feed last, hot sun and high humidity will also do this to a coffee tree. Chester
Koffee_Kosmo It's been a few months since my last update but coffee growing is a very slow process Finally my coffee cherries - well a few of them are showing some colour on the skin Don't know how long it will take for the rest to colour as Autum is apron us and winter is close

Koffee_Kosmo On one coffee tree the cherries are ripening to a lovely red colour Will start picking them off by this weekend
Brett_H That's uite a crop! My tree is about a year younger than yours and only has a couple of dozen cherries. That said, it's ornamental. I eat the cherries but spit the seeds in the garden.
Koffee_Kosmo I recon there will be just over 1 kg of beans in that one tree And that is its first crop KK
Koffee_Kosmo Bean harvesting time :thumb: today Well all the red ripe ones After picking I spent 30 min to squeeze the beans out of the cherry pulp then I washed them and now they are drying in the sun I noticed that a high proportion of cherries contained 3 beans inside KK

That is awesome. From tree to cup. Looking forward to hearing about the taste once you brew them. Well done!
Koffee_Kosmo Second tree is full of ripe coffee cherries and ready to pick After this last pick I will process all the beans and roast them It takes a while to dry and de-husk
