Just a little update on how my grinder is going. I found the static issue has reduced dramatically with my latest roast batch, which was much darker than the first roast I put through, which had barely finished first crack when I pulled it from the roaster. This roast was pulled at the first few snaps of second crack. Now after grinding the amount of grinds in the lower funnel is minimal, and easily slides into the blind tumbler with a few taps. There's also minimal grinds left on the burrs. Even in milk I can taste the improvement in the shots, there's no hint at all of bitterness, which I think can be attributed to the minimal grind retention. There's been much debate on HB about settling the grinds into the basket, WDT and all that. I'm just tapping them through the blind tumbler, knocking the side of the basket with my hand, and roughly levelling. I'm not getting perfect pours, but they're getting better. In short, I'm very happy with the grinder. Proof: I have sold my faithful Macap M4D. Sniff
