C-man, you still haven't answered my question on the other thread. What do you want from a machine?......................Posting up "is this machine ok" posts isn't really going achieve much if we don't know what your needs/wants are. If you know what I mean.
Eggzackary. Suggest first, what is the budget? Buying cheap is not a reason for buying something or anything, just forthe sake of buying it.....eg used isomac maverick at $249.00.....if you can spare $999, looking at $249 is the wrong way of going about it. What is your budget, and what do you want? If you are not sure what you want and it is these forums that are confusing you with the "wind up" factor that is common in them, dont do anything yet. Wait until you have worked out what you want and how much money you have. For Example: If you have a budget of up to 2 thou for a machine only, you would be mad to walk past one of our new BFC Diadema Junior PUL models that are still at end of fin year stock take sale price (they're HX and E61). Fantastic machines and very forgiving of new owners for a commercial quality brew. It doesnt get any better than that. Forget buying more technical machines that would have been more exi at new price even if you can get them in this price bracket second hand, because after all's said and done and you have allowed yourself to be wound up in the forums with the promise of their bells and whistles, they wont do anything for you that this baby wont do especially for a new and inexperienced owner that needs to learn the ropes. And you will get a new machine guarantee. If you have 1 thou, you are looking at new silvia /lelit type machines OR, lower end older HX machines at used machine price. Some of them are gems, others arent so be careful wrt used machine condition and age. If you have less than that, I would stop all this nonsence and save a bit more, or you will not reap the benefit of looking at better equipment than you have found at this time. It may sound harsh, but it may stop you from making a costly (no matter how cheap it was ) mistake. Hope that helps 😉
