Wanting to purchase freash Roasted beans looking for recomendations

super Sweet, syrupy, Nutty, and caramel and toffee is OK too

we don't want ;

Earthy, fruity, Chocolate or spicy and any raisin

Any Ideas

C-Man, You've got some great local roasters here on the coast, little cove, clandestino roasters, pioneer etc. Talk to them, tell them what you want, see what they say. Otherwise, try mycuppa, or Ministry Grounds . Sounds like you know what you want/like, so shouldn't be too hard to match a few beans.

yeah, we have a new one in Coolum too fuddpukka's but nothing great I was hoping for suggestions from the sponsors too

C-Man, They are just another chain. Never been there, and I haven't heard great reviews so I stayed away. They use a fluid bed roaster of sorts but the look of the roaster in the window, which would have to be automated. Stick with the local boutique roasters that know how to roast, rather than just put some beans in and press a button! 🙂 Really what you want is for the lovely guys and gals on this forum to suggest some beans to you that tick all your boxes, and find someone that sells them roaster, or buy some green and roast them up.

It's is massively sweet, has a wonderful syrupy finish that lingers for ages, sticking to the insides of your mouth.) we love sweetness, syrupy and a long finish, we just need to trade the fruit for the nut taste somehow.

Simple taste for her, complex for you. Easy. Tis the beauty of home roasting. Pick and play. You want to build yourself a roaster C-man. Roasting at the beach, nothing better I reckon. The issue with browns is how quickly they age. You will forever be ordering to keep up with demand. Build a roaster, get a variety of greens and roast on demand :thumb:

I agree, we found Kate at Pioneer to be the best roaster around here, but they only have a limited selection of beans.

Lace- I stopped by "Fudge-packers" again today just because it is close and I was in the area, I talked with the owner and he said they are not a chain just them. they use 3 boutique small roasters so they can offer a wider range of beans, same little 6 grinder group as "little Cove" but they have 25 beans that they rotate on the grind. I explained what I was looking for and he found a bag of green in the back that he said he would roast right now just for me and stop it short of some of the notes I did not want. and also gave me another bag as a free sample that he roasted the same way while I was there. I need to wait until Monday to try them. the search continues-

Ahhhh yeah.....narhhhhhh. Wading again into something that is sure to get me in trouble for being if nothing else, bluntly honest: Look, re the topic itself. Realistically......anyone willing to supply you their fresh roasted product and guarantee what you are looking for is off their face and is looking down the barrel of a very difficult situation. EG, they supply you something you like as per post #1 in the topic. You try.....and disagree, saying it is the opposite and represents one of the things you didnt want....No win. And wrt the post re Fudgewhateveritscalled, finding a bag out the back and roasting it to your spec. on the spot. How convenient, and they have all the answers.....Gimme a break. I dont see you being happy with anyone elses offerings. You cant (in my honest opinion) buy coffee from a roaster according to your specifications......rather, I think you (we) buy someone's offering and then appreciate it for what it is/. Not trying to be facetious...this is deadly serious and I personally have only 27 years experience roasting. What you are looking for is unbelievably narrow and very specific to your taste, and as others have tried to do above, I would like to recommend you start roasting at home to try and get what you want. You will have a great deal of fun and can knock yourself out trying whatever you like long term. It will turn into an all consuming and really great hobby.
