Show me your best 'God Shot'....

Ol_Grumpy

Hi Guys/Gals,

In the mumerings of the Crema Forum... occasionaly the much sought after but rarely seen , the veritable Holy Grail of the Fine Coffee Quest...

The one and only 'God Shot' is so very occasionaly mentioned...

But curiously... it is never shown...

Well here is your chance to brag and share and show a Noob like me just what I need to aspire too...

There is no competition between friends (Yeah right!)...

Just a good natured opportunity to show us your very best Baristatorial Excellence...

And so to the good natured folk... The Seniors like KK and the mighty Galumay... who have let it be known they have video proof that the elusive 'God Shot' is a reality- not merely a mythical ideal...

Let the quest for Baristatorial Excellence begin......

Show us your best God Shot... If you dare...

C-man

I can show you a shot that looks like shite, but tasted fantastic! I may not have the equipment, but I have tasted enough to know something. I hope they do post some videos, I would like to see them too.

If you visit my you tube channel you will see at least one video from all the machines I have owned http://m.youtube.com/#/user/koffeekosmo?desktop_uri=%2Fuser%2Fkoffeekosmo&gl=GB KK

A picture can paint a thousand words....but only the tongue can tell the real story ! :coffee2:

Ol_Grumpy

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.... I get that! Coffee is all about what's in the cup... But we don't have ismellaPad Apps or even itasteCoffeePad... Yet! So in the meantime the best we have is a vid; Yes? It's fine to talk words and numbers like 6 bar or 9 bar or 83*C or whatever and like a wise man has said... "A picture is worth a thousand words"... So as KK, AM, C-man and others have shown... they are more than just wordsmiths - they can and do produce the goods... I just thought this here might be a bit of fun and a convenient 'one-stop' place to pop in and compare 'notes' or 'vids' as the case may be.... Why don't you just put up your best shot and see what happens?... If you're game....

C-man

It doesn't really exist, like chasing a rainbow but we keep trying.

A good idea I reckon. Just put up your best looking shot. Who cares what it tastes like as long as it looks good out of the spouts. :thumb:

Brett_H

I like this concept. I'll give it a go when I have a few spare moments. :thumb:

I pulled this shot this morning using my triple basket from the Presso, I just hammered the rounded edge until it fit. Not bad for a cheap $15 Sunbeam, and tasted heavenly too I should have wiped the dust of the machine first hahah chalk One up for the poor man.. Cheers! C-

beaut. KK like liquid caramel! I am guessing by the color it is a softer bean maybe?

Kelsey

I've posted this before, this both looked and tasted divine! A triple poured into 30ml in 30secs.
