My two group compact runs on 1650watts right now, takes 45 mins to heat up, then idles at 25% duty cycle. When insulated it should drop to 10% or so - effectively consuming 165 watts. The real issue for many people is the time to get up to temperature and the sheer bulk of commercial machines. Plumbing isnt an issue as they run happily from a tank and my 1l drip tray is more than adequate for home use. My full size two group is a beast. That lives in the garage until I sell it. No room left indoors for it. 🙁
