Beanz Beanz wrote: The wood is supplied by the local farmers in exchange for bread baked in the oven, this sounded quite extraordinary but after checking and rechecking we were confident that the story was correct and that there was no misunderstanding I established a better understanding of the barter process later. The old unsold bread is swapped for wood, the old bread is then used as feed for the farmers animals. They also buy in wood. Makes more sense now !
Beanz Cafe Badilatti is located in Zuoz, Switzerland. It is a 3rd generation coffee roaster, cafe and now also includes a museum. They are the highest coffee roaster in Europe at 1715m ASL. They use a 51 year old Probat roasting 60Kg at a time. A beautiful location situated across the road from the river surrounded by snow capped mountains. The cafe is in the orange coloured building. [attach=1] The cafe and museum are side by side so as you enjoy your coffee you are surrounded by equipment from mid 1700's to the present day [attach=2] Some of the grinders on display [attach=3] Polish Grinders [attach=4] More Grinders [attach=5] Sample Roaster [attach=6]
