Brett_H I've always been put off by the price of the HTs... I can only imagine that this one will be beyond most KKTO owners. Great for cafes looking for the street cred of having a roaster in the shop... pretense or otherwise.

LaSanMarcoMelb There is definitely a gaping hole in the roaster market around $2500 - $3000. I would love to step up to something bigger with control but can't warrant $5k for a hobby
askthecoffeeguy For $2.5k I reckon your looking at value for money - but for $5k plus I'd be wanting a hell of a lot more bang for my buck!

Kelsey I wonder what came of this, it's been nearly two years since this was originally posted and there seems to be no further into since April 2013.
Brett_H Yes... Very good point. Perhaps there are just so many 1-2 kg shop roasters around they didn't bother going to market.
