Great post FC! Agree completely with all your facts and figures. I can't understand why folk spend the bigger bucks on the Sigma and Leica options when the result is far less different than the dollars spent. Your thesis for the 1.4 FC echoes my own in every way including where to buy. My favourite camera store photoContinental has just closed its doors for the last time 🙁

The 800 is cleaner in every regard except at ISOs above 6400 and shots required at speed. It's video is only SD if captured to internal card. In short the 800 is a better camera in almost every regard except for that which it nowadays used. I'm going to sell it for sub $2K and see how long I can wait for the 810s or more likely grab another 750. My NAS is bursting at the seams but I do miss its crop potential.
