good question. Oddly, the price of lucy is more than the price of silvia & her brother rocky. I dont know why but I guess it has to do with the size of the production runs. I dont like the mess that always seems to occur when you have a machine/grinder combo in the one body - When one component needs to go in for service and you have a combo, you lose the use of the whole lot...which is not a problem if the machine needs service, but it is when the grinder needs service (as in if they were separate you could have continued to use the machine with preground while the grinder is away being fixed)- Apologies to everyone that owns one but I personaly think I have never seen anything so ugly as Lucy ;D - and I wouldnt necessarily discount this as a reason to buy or not to buy a domestic machine, because its your kitchen and you have to live with it for a very long time!!!!! Thing is...right now you will be scratching to find a silvia anywhere to buy in oz, but you should be able to source a Lucy somewhere.......... Anyone else? Regardz, FC.
