Likewise i vary the tampers i use so as to minimise the risk of RSI, which is important when you make coffee for a living. I'm enjoying the Reg Barber 'Radical Pro' tamper, which I sourced from Six Senses coffee in WA. It has a large wooden handle, which works well with a larger hand, as the ball of the handle fits in the palm of the hand, which means that you don't have to grip it with your fingers so much. Also, my 'Bumper' tampers from Espressoparts.com has a nice weight and feel to it. Pat
