Don't tell me you're even thinking of selling the Bezzera! I've tried a lot of pro-sumer machines but I still wouldn't part with my Domus for quids - it just makes consistently great coffee time and time again and I love the milk action!

Yes the Bezzera is sexy and my wife loves it as well I have not pulled a bad shot on it yet and thats saying something The 4 hole steam tip is so easy to use Definitely a keeper KK

Head to the Mailing Room in Cantebury, and Andy might even let you have a play on one! As far as I know he's got the one and only (prototype) machine in the country, especially designed and hand crafted in Italy for the Australian market! P

Is it called the Synchro? As I have read something on a blog about an Australian machine KK

psaigh

The synchro (not to be confused with cyncra!) is veneziano's new machine (made in itali as well), and is nothing to do with the prototype that andrew at the maling room is testing. The synchro is a heat exchanger and i'm pretty sure all set for sale, the prototype is exactly that, no where near production ready, and is a dual boiler.

Heading down to the wedding in Newcastle this weekend Just can

I am a bit afraid to take my own due to airport security

??.. I've carried coffee with me in my hand luggage at least a dozen times with no problems whatsoever

Luca

I don't see how the new machine combines the features of the synesso and the la marzocco. It has LM steam wands, but that's about where the similarity ends. The groups are totally different to both the synesso and the LM and I think that it is only a dual boiler machine ... I think; couldn't see that much from inside it, but from memory the PID only allowed us to set one brew temperature for everything. As with all machines, it had some things that were really good and some things that were bad. It will be interesting to see how it evolves into a finished machine. Cheers, Luca

Update on the Electra Just got back from the wedding in Newcastle "disappointed" Disappointed that the Electra was not available for use They served up instant for the guests So I will have to wait until my next trip in 3 months when I will visit the family and relatives However I have had preliminary talks about becoming a Roasted coffee distributor in QLD for a Sydney based roaster (not sure if I can mention names) But its part of the Electra distributors business ( a guest and old friend at the same wedding) I will nut out the details to see if it is viable for me to pursue Any tips or pitfalls? KK, May be next time, we have one at the shop looks great, good coffee as well, but at this level all this machines are very good. I think that people are attract to this machine due to the chrome finish, brass chrome eagle and the brown bakelite portafilter. As I mention before drop over the shop next time you are in Syd for a cuppa. May be we can talk some business as well. Regards Renzo

Thanks for the invite again Renzo I will make an attempt to make the drive from Newcastle to Sydney when I go down again This time it will be just me not the whole family (5) persons I will also use the time to visit or meet up with the brother that lives in Sydney And if I do take on a coffee distributorship I may need to fly to Sydney sooner rather than later KK
