After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

On the subject of bacon...

edited January 1970 in Off-topic
As an aside to the steam wand cooking thread, I just had a thought...

What about finely diced bacon, packed into a portafilter, and the juices extracted from the bacon under pressure.

Prosciutto Pronto?

That will work if the bacon is rolled and placed in the group handle, and the bacon standing placed on its end so the water can pass Dicing may choke  ??? KK
  • Maybe run the bacon through the grinder first - the Boss won't mind :)

You didn't use the grinder first?
  • Tried that first, no workee. Need to get the saw out, I reckon the snout will fit nicely.
  • I'm a trotters man myself...
  • I'm only really interested in the belly... ;D
  • civet in a blender's always good ...
  • Mind you, you'd have to cook it first, to roast the beans inside, then grind it up.
  • Exchange between Vincent and Jules in the movie Pulp Fiction, Jules may well have a point, although I must admit I enjoy pork, though perhaps not prepared in the manner you guys have been contemplating. ::) Jules: Pigs are filthy animals. I don't eat filthy animals. Vincent: Bacon tastes gooood. Pork chops taste gooood. Jules: Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy motherf******, Pigs sleep and root in sh**. That's a filthy animal. I ain't eat nothin' that ain't got sense enough to disregard its own feces.

Dry Bean... That is one of  the top moves and I have the sound track in the car.  Just have to be careful with some tracks when some people are getting a lift. At the end of the day, if its cooked it's ok by me. Pig or Dog; it does not matter.
I'm with you on that one AM, great movie, I have the DVD and still watch it now and again. ;D

I've been telling people to look out for dropi bearak - a rare bean  found only in the droppings of drop bears. It produces a better coffee because its only found in Australia.
  • Dear Mod - can we have a dropi bearak thread please? :)
