After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Home made stuff to drink...
Limoncello
Know there is a topic that has gone way off topic, but just wanted to say I made my Limoncello mix up tonight, and it's fantastic, if not a touch - too alcoholic.
Ended up being ~40% and wow it hits hard! Might tone it down a notch next batch. What ratio Alcohol:sugar:water do you normall use?
I did 8 lemon rinds (zested), 500mL Alcohol (95%):300g sugar:500mL water to make around 1200mL.
I then get that approx 1200ml and split it... 600ml for me at same.... 600ml diluted with 300ml and thus 900ml of a slightly lighter drink.
Note: I usually give it a good 14 days plus and have a liking for swapping one Lemon for two limes...
IT also depends on teh lemons and the size, same for teh limes.
I use home grown lisbon lemons and they are quite big. The limes are Tahitian and last time I also included a Kaffir Lime as we have a tree as well. Thus all home grown ;D
