if you check out any large hospitality supply store, such as Hotel Agencies here in Melbourne, they usually have a large selection of milk jugs to choose from - and price is not always indicative of quality. I recently purchased some stainless steel water jugs, which were very similar in shape to the standard milk jug, but with a rounded bases, and they were a bit more solid as well. And I found that the round base helped to build the whirlpool motion, whereas the more solid construction seems to help with even distribution of temperature. The only downfall (if you can call it that) that I have found is that the milk heated milk tends to separate if it is not constantly 'worked' - which is not really an issue if you use it straight away. Cheers, Pat
