Took this a couple of weeks ago. Peugeot RCZ. Using Canon DSLR with my trusty all purpose L series zoom lens that I use both at work and when travelling around. Certainly bulky, but it has various advantages over using point and shoot equipment.

hahaha, they've all got you by the bollocks when you trade up, as you know once you've started buying nice lenses...you're stuck....because it will (unnecessarily) cost you lots of money to change over ! So I am a Canon man because that was where I started ! BTW thanks. I thought it turned out really well (should see it in original format on full screen before resizing down to suit loading it into the website). Its only a car, but the photo (as always) makes it look 10 times better than it does in the flesh.  Photos are like paint (if you are lucky enough to do them well occasionally)..... a coat of paint hides a thousand sins, and a good photo makes something look better than it really is (so, same story).

I have a growing colony of native bees in a Besser brick wall On an extended look it apears that they are excavating to make more room as they are carrying out bits of rock I had to add the macro extender to get these shots as they are very tiny creatures [attachimg=1] [attachimg=2] [attachimg=3]

Green beans anyone?  Local retail market price in Addis is still only about 100-130ETB, which is about $5-6 a kilo, Yirg, djimma. Harar... Washed and naturals all available. The quality of the higher priced stuff looked pretty good. On a completely different note, I went to see Gunter Von Hagen's human body exhibition last week.  Fascinating but it gets weirder and weirder as you walk through the exhibits. The last few were bordering on a kind of art, and the one of a couple showing 'reproduction' was kind of disturbing... He has virtually every body part 'plasticised', dissected and on display. Also complete preserved body's in lifelike poses according to their profession when still alive.

That's a lot of grounds.  Did you not think of sweeping them up and on selling them to Maccas.  I hear their coffee has improved  :rofl:

I have thought many times about how to use the grounds again. Perhaps use it for the needy and homeless. The amount we go through runs into the kilos over a whole year seven days a week, and would be handy for a charity like the salvation army for drip coffee. But alas, suggestions have been taken on board but no action will be taken so that means they go into the compost bin with the kitchen scraps. For those who believe in reincarnation or karma, being an earthworm and chugging through brazilian Carmo Di Minas and grade one Yirgacheffe would be a good way to go.[emoji14][emoji267]

You may or may not be aware that Brisbane has just had a destructive storm yesterday Earlier today I had a feathered visitor It's my guess that this parrot must have escaped as it was not scared off by me Anyway we have a peach face and he landed near his cage to have a chat I had 10 seconds to get the camera out and take a couple of photos [attachimg=1][attachimg=2]

A shot I took in Naples, Heather hamming it up, kind of liked the concept, a short distance from a restaurant (Baccalria, specialising in salt cod) we had dined at, great food and very friendly staff.[attachimg=1]

Here's a few pics from a recent visit to a dry mill, owned and run by a farmers co-operative in Ethiopia. The pics show the story from receiving the parchment, dry milling (parchment removal), initial sort by machine/s, then final sort by hand.  All profits go back into the co-op.  Good onsite worker facilities such as a canteen, medical clinic, showers, toilets etc. Very early days yet for the harvest, so the warehouse looks pretty empty.  The day I was there, they were processing for local consumption only.

Nice image but as Db says KK low res images are never a fair representation, there is a reasonable amount of gradient blur that would still exist in the high res image but somewhat sharper I presume.

What I'm saying KK is the file size is way to small at 30 to 50 kb to convey any meaningful information, to determine image quality I would like to see the original. If I had to judge on these two shots I would say very soft, and I imagine the original full size shot was much better than what I'm looking at here. I saved the first image and at 300% magnification it starts to pixilate badly.

Yes I agree the original photo is way better I have only taken about 6 photos and a video so far so I will get to know it better as its used Main reason for this lens is for video The lens auto focuses on moving objects and being ISM makes no motor noise ect Now since this is a coffee forum here is a shot (reposted)  of coffee cherries on my trees as of today
