After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Haha..... Tried to imply that to the missuss.......... Let's just say I'm thinking. Be a bit hard to get it past though as we have just bought a house in the Hunter Valley and my roasting will certainly be downsizing at least in the near future....
Borat, are you an Aussie in Dubi? A friend of mine (mick) was living over there and working as a pilot flying the Sultan around on one of his private jets, he said it was good pay but very boring as he was on stand by most of the time, he finally quit.
The view from car at East Beach in Port Fairy. I don't often leave work for lunch! Maybe I should appreciate the local landscape a little more! Very relaxing
The wife works for Thiess and they put it on yearly leading up to the Ekka. When I say yearly, this is the second year of the comp. It's open to 3 or uni's as well so interesting to see how this mug does against the engineering students with their fancy pants computer simulators :D Final weigh in at the post office on Monday. Might be able to stick a few more bits in there. Total weight has to be no more than 300 grams and the bridge must clear span 350 mm minimum. The supplied load hook weighs just short of 70 grams which is a big chunk of the total weight.
For those who aren't on Farcebook here is a pic of my latest creation... Western Queensland Fossilised wood on a Damascus Steel carving knife. The blank I bought because I'm not quite ready to cut my own knives but having said that I'm very... Very close. Forging my own steel however holds no interest to me!

Hmmmmm, sorry to drag up an older post, but I was just wondering Jonty, when you said this was taken from your car.... ..... By chance was your car on it's roof when you took this and you have a very dry sense of humour? It appears I must invert the photo ( on my iPad anyways) ... to see it right way up?
