Sth NSW Barista Competition

Hi Guys,

There is a group of coffee fanatics in Wagga and Albury about to embark on running a coffee competition later in the year. We are looking to base it on WBC rules and regs but may make it a bit simpler depending on organisation.

I have been trying to contact the AASCA for assistance but haven't had much luck, does anyone know if they are still stuck in Chile after their trips to Colombia? Can anyone help me getting in contact with them as we are trying to make decisions about locations etc and would like to know if the AASCA can assist.

Also if there is anyone who would like to be involved in any way please let me know as many hands make light work.

Hi Brett, when you are speaking with whoever in aasca better take note that you dont clash with the date for the ACT State comp which will also take place late in the year (and I dont know if a date has even been chosen yet or whether aasca HQ would even know.......). You could also consider bringing your Wagga guys into the ACT comp and who knows if that's even kosha  ;D ??????? You could also try Bill Maloney. If you dont have his number any more and want to try him let me know and I'll slip it to you off line. Rgdz, Attilio.

Hi Attilio - if you want me to make the trip to the ACT comp this year just let me know. While brining the Wagga guys into the ACT comp might not be too kosher. Hi Brett, I'm an AASCA judge and happy to sensory judge if I can afford (money+time) to make the trip. Hazchem may also be convinced if you ask him nicely :P

I'll put my hand up too, but I'm sure AASCA will put out a call once the heats start being announced for the year.
