Pre roast treatment of beans...

System

Spent a few hr's to day tasting and playing with beans that have been pre treated / washed in an effort to provide something a little different.


Not something I would do, but this person believes he has a market (out side of Australia)  and has the time and a few $ to invest in playing with different concepts re hardware and as a small aside; coffee.


It will be interesting to be on the side and to get to sample and comment as part of his concept development...


As to if it gets off the ground... That is another story

Would be worthwhile to conduct a neat experiment on the efficacy of human coffee ingestion of coffee beans, post excreta processing, and brewing. So i wonder what would the result be if one was to ingest a bunch of MTE greens and follow a diet rich in Four n Twentys with a few slabs of amber. Can see the results now. "Four n Twentys with VB equals smooth but bland characteristics" from victim A but victim B sample show much better and interesting  italian characters from a diet of pizza, spag bogs and grappa. :coffee2: I'll go hide in my cup now. It's a laugh looking at the responses here.  :D " Hmm, front palate seems to provide a hint of dark chocolate body but slimey character. Mid palate throws up a pre digested bile with pleasant acidity. Back palate has a lingering earthy cocoa bomb" Best to roast this to C10 for health reasons and to best highlight the cocoa, earthy pooey characters. Origin characters from AM will reveal a mineral background. KK's will highlight cleaning agents mid palate. Gary at Gs is a an all rounder, can be taken lighter in C7-8 for asian flavours, C9 for west coast of USA flavours, and C10 for just, umm, dark sunburnt aussie meat pie ground beef to provide enough punch for amber fluids. G@G, if this were CS ya'd get a sticky and an award my friend!  :thumb: Now AM, we've seen the Monsooned Malabar become a cult favorite due to it's pre-roast treatment.  Any hints as to what is happening with ya mate's beans.  Somebody once tried to convince me that Amaretto flavored coffee beans were treated pre roast but I had no interest in trying the offending/offensive product due to the overwhelming smell of STALE!!  Who out there has a couple of liters of Amaretto they'd like to loan us?  We'll soak the beans in dishwater for all the difference it'd make and drink the grog!  :thumb:

I'm quite happy sharing in this community spirited forum. I'm not one to try hard for an award from a forum that is rather business minded. Stepped on the big man's toes there, and no award is going to heal the wounds. Here, u can be free to some extent to express yourself with some lark and feel you're closer to one another and not feel as if big brother is going to  :pan me. Gary at G
