What happened to ACF?

Closed was the word from Rio Coffee via Bar9. There has been a parallel import thing going with another company ex NZ/Aust but stock has been hard to come by for a while now.

Mmmm Buckets o coffee. Most cafes in warrni would happily throw a single with some burnt milk in them for you  :stir

280mL is too big for me, Jonty. If anyone had any 200mL ones I'd be interested in getting a few off them. On the plus side, Rio Coffee is now listed as being the distributor for Nuova Point cups, which should provide a nice alternative. I'd assume such resellers as Jetblackespresso will be stocking the Nuova Point's unless they opt for cheaper alternatives?

Rio most likely is just reselling Nuova Point, I talked to the distributor at MICE recently. Some of them felt good to me some didn't. I prefer a cup you can at least get some of your finger into the handle  :-|

There has been a master importer for ACF in Australia for some time now and Rio, Jetblack and a couple of other companies are importer/distributors under this importer - so no grey importation (as far as we are aware). Unfortunately ACF is under external administration and we are waiting to see what happens ... It would surprise me if this is the last we see of ACF, but at least for the short term, stock will just be running down ... charlie

Having seen this thread I went and bought a couple of red ACF espresso cups from a Sunshine Coast roaster for $13 a pop, just in case. :D

Just picked up on this, a bit sad really, end of an era, will certainly take more care of my 280 ml ACF black cup and saucer set from now on.
