Dear CREMA PEOPLE,
GREAT WEBSITE, CONGRATULATIONS...
PEOPLE WHO LOVE COFFEE AND ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. A RARITY.
SOMETIMES COFFEE IS LIKE A WINE PARTY, LOTS OF SO CALLED EXPERTS, WHO THINK THEY KNOW IT ALL. HERE MEMBERS ACTUALLY WORK IN THE INDUSTRY AND DO KNOW. FANTASTIC. I WISH THE PRINT JOURNOS WOULD CONSULT YOU ALL BEFORE WRITING LATTE LOVE STORIES.
I SEE FROM BEING PUT ONTO THIS WEBSITE FROM SOME FRIENDS IT HAS THE MACHINE I WANT ON DISPLAY UNDER FOR SALE SECTION.
now my question.....
ECM. It is for my office, we have twenty or so staff and will leave it on all day. Mostly capps and lattes.
After i read up on the ECM machines and seeing my friend has an ECM giotto premium which I love its the machine I want. Looks as well... thats the brand we want.
Looked at lots others like the dia on the site but ECM reputation, spare parts and especially looks for similar price I dont think you can go past them. I think some of the pro machines around including rancilo etc are quite ugly. Seeing as they are furniture and cost a lot Im surprised they dont get a makeover. I understand looks dont matter to some as they all do the job under the hood but im maybe in the minority that looks matter and the stainless steel is faultless on the ECM.
A QUESTION TO OTHERS. SEEING THE ECM IS POLISHED STAINLESS STEEL, WHY DOESNT IT RUST EVENTUALLY. ?? HAS IT GOT A CLEAR LAQUER ON IT. ?? i had a grinder once in polished stainless steel and it started to specle rust. i was told satin didnt rust but polished can so whats their secret at ECM ????
Can I laquer my stainless grinder ????
My question to anyone here on forum, what is the benifit of the ECM A1 veneziano over the giotto premium, i would much prefer the A1 for the dual guages and looks, which are the best i think i have seen in an expresso machine.... But whats under the covers extra from the Giotto premium for another 1200 dollars or so. (beside electronic panel)
a bigger frame. ??????
can it make more coffees in a quicker time space. Is it more powerful as such. I assume being bigger the answer is yes. We intend to hard plumb it in the office. The electronics are a plus as other staff will use it.
Shall drop in for a look in the three weeks or so but want to get my facts right when ordering.
thanks to the crema readers and administrator
