Strega had a play with one today

Last time I was there last month buying some beans I took a look at the Strega. It wasn't turned on though, and I was time shy. They usually have a couple of Bezzera machines on display to buy which is good, but only display. No touching sorta stuff. The Strega is the exception with it being for demos! 🙂 I was going to head up for a play, but forgot all about it. It's a nice place for a coffee when it's not heaving, but it takes forever to get the coffee. My regular joke is that I could drive home, make a coffee and come back and would still be waiting! They do a lot of fussing about.

hahaha yeah I kinda left you guys hangin I have developed a good repore with the owner/roaster actually he is one of the brothers. we always have good chats and we share information, coming mainly from him LOL We have even used my little Rosco hand grinder to sample other beans. the machine is a real thing of beauty and the coffee was damm good! I would love to own one someday. the only thing is, he does not know how to override the spring for full manual control of the lever, can it be done? he often goes in the back and digs out some special beans for me and did that again. he also gave me a free bottle of "cold brew" specialty SO coffee that they sell with their label. I also picked up a small bag of Cuban, he claims it is not as good as last year, less tobacco tastes which may work better for me, but still the big buttery mouth feel

Yes that can be done And Bezzera also have a factory model if you don't want the vibe pump version KK

yeah, he had to turn it on and it took some time to warm up that was OK as we had a lot to talk about. so go when you have the time. also the beans next to it are old so we got some special ones from the back.
