After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

ECM veronice? best superauto around?

edited January 1970 in Espresso Machines
i saw on another site this machine.

ecm veronica ??

it is a new ECM machine, which comes from the giotto company etc .  from seeing the add for it it sounds like the best of the best superautos around.

all stainless steel, boiler and grinder pro quality etc.

why buy a JURA or SAECO if you want a quality machine etc.

just wondering why people would not buy this over all those plastic model superautos out there...is it price alone ????

could someone with knowledge tell me also,  how hard does a superauto tamp,   ie 20-30lbs ??

just curious as to how its done ...

also re superautos ....

i was in qantas club lounge this week and they have 4 machines in melbourne and 6 or so in sydney...say 40 australia wide.  the coffee pours out in 10 seconds and produces an average latte.  very average.   surely some shop machine seller could put a business proposition to places like qantas to say...look at this ECM machine...it does it properly....and sell 40 machines   yes/no ??

anyway look up ecm veronica on google if you havent seen it yet.  i think it sounds fantastic and was told its about $4700.00 dollars.  pricey, but also top quality grinder etc inside and parts available forever via ECM  unlike saecos etc.

cheers

  • I have seen this machine in action and am waiting for it to be on sale but it is around the higher end of $5000. It is a fantastic all metal machine that makes super coffee - I cant wait until I get my hands on one. I was looking at getting a Jura but was put off because it is plastic and I would expect something better for the price as well as not being able to get a demo. You sound like you sell the veronica
