After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Is semi-commercial worth the extra money
???
I currently have a Gaggia Classic and Tranquilo grinder. I am happy with this combination, however the look of the ECM Giotto Premium has me salivating. I only drink espresso's and on rare occasions will make cappucino's for friends. I understand a semi-commercial machine will allow simultaneous extraction/milk texturing. However, given 99% of my espresso's are for my wife and I, is it worth spending $2500 on a Giotto Premium? In essence, with fresh beans and grinder being equal, will it produce a markedly better espresso, worthy of the extra money?
