lifetime of a commercial espresso machine

Hi Guys
Just wondering if anyone can tell me the expected lifetime of a commercial espresso machine. I had my la Pavoni serviced yesterday and the service agent told me that it was probably near the end of its life.😢 It has been well looked after and is 5 years old. We run about 45kg of coffee through it a week. What do you guys think? Should you get more than 5 years out of an espresso machine??

This would normally be termed a question that cant be answered because it very much depends on the individual circumstance but in view of the information you have given, I agree, get rid of it. Keep your machines in good nik and turn them over frequently for the turnover you have. Regardz, FC.
