BES 900 descal now being offered for free by Breville

Hi All

As I understand it Breville are now offering the first descale of the BES900 free....  Not sure what the trigger was, but if your machine is one of the first units released; it might be worth contacting Breville....


If after that you get no where;  PM me and I may be able to advise how you can do it your self...

Not fast and a reasonable amount of time and effort; but it can be done...

Good to know!  Thanks for posting mate... I'm sure there's plenty of folk who'd appreciate this preventative maintenance offer.  Free too... Kudos Breville!

I asked about this when my machine went in for repair and was told they would not be descaling it. So I don't know where this "Breville descale 900"came from . My machine was 2 weeks short of it's 2 year warranty when it failed. I was told no descale was offered at all.

LOL... Did you contact Breville directly or the service agen...  If I was the service agent I would also say NO as it is a lot of work...  :tearhair: You will need to get Authorisation from Breville...  AS i stated in my first post - Contact Breville... Here is other feedback / conversation, I have had. "Hello All, I'm due for a descale on my Breville BES900, any suggestions on some quality friendly service in Brisbane, any direction. Thanks in advance, hope everyone had a great week end!" Reply " Log it with Breville and the service agent at Albion can and will do. Breville have extended a level of service on these re the first descale "  (SNIP) Reply "Hi finally called Breville, then the guys at Albion, Breville do cover the first descale for free as long as the machine is still under warranty. Seals do cost if need to be replaced. Spot on QM0996. Will need to bring it in to get into the queue. "
