Maybe so but having done competition training and judges calibration I can tell you it has changed the way I view and make coffee For starters WBC advocates and sets the standard for worlds best practice which means that your average city based cafe at least can no longer afford to rest on their laurels and keep making coffee the same way they did say 10 years or even 5 years ago Why? Because competition has informed equi
Fair enough, however I imagine your technique would have evolved regardless because of increased competition, pretty much a case of improve or get out, anybody with computer access and able to follow basic instructions is able to brew good coffee nowadays. (judges calibration) Do you mean certification? kinda hard to calibrate a judge. 😉 What are the standards for worlds best practice that WBC advocates? would be interested to read a copy. As far as not making coffee the same way they did 5, 10 or even 30 years ago I would have to disagree, good coffee back then would still qualify as good coffee now, minus the art work of course, and the establishments that served a quality brew were fewer and farther between, however as I said before competition between retailers will automatically take care of that issue. "Why? Because competition has informed equi" not sure what you mean here, did you post before finishing the sentence? 🙂
