Not all servo coffee is r/s. Those of you needing a fill on your way to the Mornington Peninsula, or on your way back from Mornington heading into Melbourne can stop off at Oz Cafe at the Caltex 854 Mooroduc Highway. Trust me, the beans are top-shelf and ultra fresh (they take deliveries that are 24hrs off the roaster each week) and their quality auto is pouring a surprisingly fine cup.
I'm sure there are rare exceptions (I've yet to find one) during my run a few weeks back on a motor bike, in very cold weather, from Moonta SA to Melb then Tocumwal NSW and back to Moonta, over 3000km I sampled the offerings of quite a few service stations, without exception the offerings were terrible. Perhaps metropolitan servo's are a little more in touch than their rural cousins. ;D
