Black bun, whisky and coal where I come from. Black bun is like a richer version of xmas cake encased in water pastry). Keeps forever. I told my daughter and she found it a strange combination. I explained that it is a gift of food, drink and heat - all important mid winter. Not so useful here, ice would be more appropriate than coal right now.
