No problem, not sure my reply was as diplomatic as it should have been anyway. I have an ECM Giotto (my review via my web link). It cost too much, but here's the thing, over the years I have owned 1 x Atomic, 1 x Plunger Pot, 1 x stove top perc, and then (I can't believe this part), 2 x Krupps domestic machines as I kept trying to upgrade. Finally I "got it" and stopped wasting money on disapppointing coffee makers. I spent a heap on the Giotto and within days knew it was money well spent - as any of the similar machines would be. I started with a Conical Issomac grinder - good too, but I opted for the Mazer recently as it was my original choice, but at the time they did not have a doserless model - which for our modest consumption seemed the best bet. Whenever we are away the first thing we miss is our coffee. I have a friend in UK who has an Elektra in a travel case, now that's a serious obsession!
