hi, OE, John & others. Depends on what you mean by a "trade show". The system for a coffee trade show is simply flawed no matter which way you look at it and it could turn out no different to the aroma show. ie, a bunch of stands all with espresso machines acting like cafes, making larteh's for anyone & everyone. This doesnt prove much I'm afraid. If I was a cafe owner trying to select a roaster supplier on the basis of this kind of thing I would have to select everyone, or no-one. How can you select a supplier on the basis of one espresso based driNK, WITH ALL THE ACCOMPANYING CLICHES, at A TRADE SHOW? OOPs there goes the caps lock. You cannot select a supplier on the basis of this unless you are extremely naive ( not tHAT there's anything wrong with being refreshingly naive in a business full of attitude and aggression). This subject is far too big for me to take on here, I'm jack of 5 page posts. As to showcasing yourself to the publ;ic, that's another and far easier matter, and that s what Aroma is about, isn't it? Someone else? Cheers, FC.
