Hi guys - not quite sure where to post this [you'll see why in a sec.] so may post in a couple of places... 1. we have long been concerned that because the Crema magazine print run is so small, many people can't get it at their local newsagent [although most newsagents can order it into stock from Gordon & Gotch if they're asked to]. Obviously, now that more and more people are now using I-Pads for reading we've been looking into an electronic version, and it turns out Gordon & Gotch have a system for turning print magazines into electronic mags, available for subscription online. We're in the process of getting this set up for our upcoming [Spring] issue, but the one thing I'd like to do [as a bit of an 'added-value'] is to offer it at a reduced price for forum members - say $3.00 per issue instead of the official $5.50.... we're currently investigating if the G&G system will allow us to have multiple purchase costs [eg a cheaper price for a small private 'guest list]', so will keep you updated. 2. the other thing is I'd like to tap into the online aggregating reader services like Flipboard and Zite. These seem to work off the number of twitter mentions, so what I'm planning to do is put up a preview of our upcoming 'Cafes of Paris' feature on the main Crema home page [might call it [i]'Paris Cafes Blog[/i]' or something like that]. Then, as a test, I'd like to ask as many of you as possible who have twitter accounts to re-tweet it, to see if the Zite / Flipboard algorithms pick up on it. Anyway, just a heads-up at this stage; will also repost this under 'Crema Magazine' & will keep you up-to-date with progress... cheers A
