I've got a mod-TO and a Gene Cafe on the bench at the moment so good direct comparisons, and am happy to host roasts in Syd (and provide some beans). Speaking of beans, must order some ethiopians and panama from you! Just not sure when I'm moving, so keep putting it off! Best to email Brendan CH as that is his first point of contact I emailed him KK
Bean_Green Hi guys, Some more samples have finally arrived. One is on the way up to Kelsey, Lacehim and the Sunny Coast guys and another over to WA and 1 in Brisbane. I'll share them around after that. Thanks for helping out guys. Instructions are in the box. There are some presets available for different profiles already but you can quite easily change the parameters to create and master your own profiles. Yell out if you need a hand. I found that 180grs gave the most consistent results. Cheers Brendan.
lemoo woohoo can't wait to actually see what it is and give it a go against my behmor. will be interesting to see how it compares!
Kelsey A surprisingly large box arrived on my doorstep today. Why I'm surprised, I have no idea - Brendan does everything *FAST*!! I want to do this properly, so it'll need to wait a day or so before I can properly sit down and have a play. :stir
Lacehim I know there is at least 2 of these out in the wild now... ... anyone have any photos or a mini review or roasted on it yet? Kelsey. Have you unpacked the box yet? 😉
derrilex He has done a few roast now I believe so I don't know what his excuse is. We all know he lies in bed all day with his kids
Kelsey You can just go right to hell. 😉 I don't want to say too much without Brendan's blessing to do so. I will say that it's more 'appliancy' than I would've thought. It's a real hybrid style of roaster that's quick, clean and fun to use. You can easily hear 2C. Very little smoke and the chaff collector is great. It has it's downsides, but priced at the right point I could see myself getting one.
Lacehim Photos? Brendan said it was cool for us to post up photos! I wanna see it. Come on the suspense is killing me! 😛

Its only work, it will still be there at 8.30. Most customers appreciate a later start rather than rockin' the neighbours at 6.30 - suits me 😉

Rider Sometimes this forum is a little too laid back........ Channeling elsewhere......... PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lacehim Kelsey is flat out working combined with family life = lack of roasting/coffee time! There's more than one in the wild, so who has them?
derrilex Time to hangout on the boardy @ Bullcock this morning and then boast about it FB though :stir :stir :stir
Kelsey Weird, just tried to post and it died. Trying again. The espresso cup is for reference, but it's about the height of a microwave, about 1/3 to 1/2 the depth and not as wide. The chaff extractor is very good. I tried using a preset roast for Kuda Mas, which I had on hand. It worked very well. Still coming to terms with the machine - the flavours I'm getting in the cup on my good old CSI roast are a little muted, but still very nice. That could be the roast depth tho. I'm trying again soon. Pics: [attachimg=1]
