Kelsey You can just go right to hell. 😉 I don't want to say too much without Brendan's blessing to do so. I will say that it's more 'appliancy' than I would've thought. It's a real hybrid style of roaster that's quick, clean and fun to use. You can easily hear 2C. Very little smoke and the chaff collector is great. It has it's downsides, but priced at the right point I could see myself getting one.
Lacehim Photos? Brendan said it was cool for us to post up photos! I wanna see it. Come on the suspense is killing me! 😛

Its only work, it will still be there at 8.30. Most customers appreciate a later start rather than rockin' the neighbours at 6.30 - suits me 😉

Rider Sometimes this forum is a little too laid back........ Channeling elsewhere......... PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lacehim Kelsey is flat out working combined with family life = lack of roasting/coffee time! There's more than one in the wild, so who has them?
derrilex Time to hangout on the boardy @ Bullcock this morning and then boast about it FB though :stir :stir :stir
Kelsey Weird, just tried to post and it died. Trying again. The espresso cup is for reference, but it's about the height of a microwave, about 1/3 to 1/2 the depth and not as wide. The chaff extractor is very good. I tried using a preset roast for Kuda Mas, which I had on hand. It worked very well. Still coming to terms with the machine - the flavours I'm getting in the cup on my good old CSI roast are a little muted, but still very nice. That could be the roast depth tho. I'm trying again soon. Pics: [attachimg=1]
shape_shifter Thanks Kelsey :thumb: Short video http://youtu.be/sA1ChnGv4ik I hope someone with a Behmor gets one so they can do a side by side comparison, puts hand up if someone wants to send me one to try ;D Oh and oooo I know that cup so have a good indication of size 🙂
derrilex Wow, its all pretty small in the roast chamber area. I dont like the total lack of vision though. What's the max payload Kelsey ?
shape_shifter d I'd have to agree with the lack of vision, I do like watching the beans change colour, LOL I think that's when you truly know you're 'into' coffee, weird fixations
Koffee_Kosmo derrilex wrote: Wow, its all pretty small in the roast chamber area. I dont like the total lack of vision though. What's the max payload Kelsey ? Looks like it will do approx 180 to 250 grams KK
Kelsey derrilex wrote: Wow, its all pretty small in the roast chamber area. I dont like the total lack of vision though. What's the max payload Kelsey ? Depends on the bean. Normal beans about 180. MM about 150. You could push it to 200 for normal beans, but you'd run the risk of them spilling out I think.
Kelsey It really is a KKTO writ small. It's quite easy to hear what's happening, but the lack of visibility is a minor concern. The chaff extractor is great, does a fantastic job. And the chaff is kept very light and unburnt, which I think contributes to the lack of smoke. I think the slots catch beans though. I've had four charred beans in every batch. Exactly four. The rest are super even. The slots are also on the same side that the heating element is on. Still haven't figured out profiling yet.
