Green Bean order.

There's a combo in there that's close to what is now my fav blend - works well as espresso and my wife loves it in milk. 280g Bauche supremo 220g Kuda Mas (this is a scrappy little bean and the farm's processing leaves a lot to be desired - I've found all sorts of foreign objects in Kuda Mas, including a chunk of stone about four times larger than a green bean - visually inspect this bean carefully on a white plate before roasting) The remaining 100g for me is usually Monsoonal Malabar, but the robusta will probably work just as we'll.

Kelsey thanks for sharing the blend. Interested if you pre roast the MM or throw it all in togethere? Thinking this will be my next adventure! Jonty

Kelsey

I probably should as the MM matures significantly later than the other beans. But if I did that, if probably roast the Kuda separately too as the size difference is pretty extreme. As it is I'm flat out getting in one roast a month!

Don't completely discount Robusta as a single origin. I haven't tried the elk hill robusta, but have enjoyed a single origin PNG robusta before

Both from bean green are lovely and I especially enjoy them as a French press.

I've just ordered: Brazil Fazenda recreio microlot El Sal la Cumbre COE (2nd time around for this one) Ethiopian Sidamo Guatemala plan del guayabo All through bean green. There is something very damn exciting waiting for the next delivery. I think roasting is becoming more addictive than the coffee.

My last green bean order was done on a sunday night, and I didn't get it till 8am on that Tuesday! 36 hour turn around. Guess I'll blame the Courier and forgive brendan this once. In all seriousness though, can't wait to taste the Guatemala Antigua Los Volcanes that everyone has been going on about. Two days post roast at the moment.

Brett_H

I placed an order last Monday evening forgetting that Ekka holiday was Wednesday. Needn't have worried... Tuesday morning they arrived on the doorstep. 14 hour turnaround. :thumb:

Be interested to see what these beans look like as a blend - I'd be thinking 60 per cent Brazil / 30 per cent Sumatra / and 10 per cent Ethiopia - or something along those lines Have you had a chance to roast them? How are they looking ? Best Pat

Knowing Chester, they would not only be roasted but have to be well and truly drunk by now. Ordered 30 months ago, I'm thinking the Silver Streak should have coughed 'em out, Chester bagged 'em and consumed. :🙂
