Nice roaster mate. So a bit like a KKTO but the whole basket moves? Is that right? What volume of beans did you roast to get those times?

Very cool and well made. I would have thought teh basket would be longer, but that's a very well executed concept. Beyond my means though 🙁.

Lacehim, the very first roast was 550 g. First crack was 15 mins and massive second crack was 20 mins. Looked great. The roast today was 650 gms. And yep, instead of an open bowl and a vertical drive shaft/ agitator it is a rotating drum with vanes. RM, anything can be done or done for you 😉

Well done Derrilex, I'm sure it's brought you a nice feeling of achievement and the results look good too to boot. Hopefully this won't derail D's thread but I think this thread's a good spot to sneak in a Special thanks to KK ...not just because this example uses a TO but in general I can only imagine how many people all over the place KK has actually inspired enough to want to get out there and put something together based on what they've seen him do!

No problem hearing the cracks C man. It's really quiet, just the gentle hum of the motor, the swish of the beans falling and high pitched squeal of the PWM 😃

Brett, no other heat source required I reckon. I slaughtered 700g of MM today in 16 mins 😃 Still learning the best combo of drum speed and temps Yep C-man, 2nd crack. Sneaks up on you quickly. A few little mods have happened to get the beans out a lot quicker. KK kindly edited out the 10 second struggle I had getting the bean drum out 😃

Not too bad Brett but there are a few lighter ones in there. I don't quite understand how its possible for uneven roasts in a drum but ....... That roast is darker than KK's camera makes out too

700 g of los vol
