Hi BrettH Was a concern when we looked into them after all the stories of high maintenance on versions 1 and 2. Version 3 is no longer mechanical and is good for a million cycles, the machines are super simple inside and lay out is very clean. Any good tec would be able to service them. They also come with a brilliant online owners manual with video links to setting up the machine through to servicing step by step, really well done. Add in a well laid out service schedule outline, and I can't see any problems. I will take some photos of the internals to show the clean design. Chester

Very cool! Also, I do like your colour very much but it wouldn't be my first choice. Photos would be much appreciated.

C-man

too cool for words..

cosmic_couple22

Didn't actually choose the colour myself (@ BrettH). This was the machine and grinder CWE customed for their MICE stand and was set up pulling coffees for those interested in Slayer machines. On the last day I asked what the deal was on the "used" machine, they offered it at a reduced package price that was to good to say no too. So green black it was. :thumb: Council have been and looked at my site and given me the in principal approval to squeeze the new shed onto the block, so hopefully the paperwork will go through tomorrow and we can start moving forward. ;D :coffee2: ;D Chester

A demo model eh... Shrewd as well as having excellent taste 😉

Just want to say that is serious machinery that will provide many years of enjoyment and banish upgraditis forever. Well done Cosmic. You got bragging rights on this forum. God shots to you. :thumb:

cosmic_couple22

Thanks GatG, It has been a terrible illness the upgraditis, but I think I have successfully beaten it this time. ;D But have developed a minor case of blingitis and secondary impatience seeing the slayer on the bench with no power or water connected yet. Chester

You have bragging rights on any forum and with any Cafe' setup as well. That set up along with your sophisticated palate and desire for the unusual will make for an excellent coffee shop/roaster y someday. I am just happy Chester is up this way for a change, not everything good has to be in Melbourne/Sydney, it will be really nice to have access to slayer shots and 90+ beans Pressure profiling has always fascinated me. Took the lid of the slayer. [attach=1] steam boiler and pre heat tank [attach=2] needle valve and brew boiler [attach=3] Needle valve, this controls the flow rate of the pre infusion when pressure profiling.

cosmic_couple22

And a few more. [attach=1] inlet, internal pressure gauge and other bits of plumbing. [attach=2] heating element end of boilers. [attach=3] Brew heads Really clean inside, very neat. Can't wait to get her all plumbed in and going. Chester

looks easy to work on if you knew what you were doing access wise anyway.

cosmic_couple22

Thats just with the cup tray off C-man, remove 3 screws on the side panels and the whole side comes off takes about 30 seconds. Chester

C-man

good Access makes things so much easier, with a good manual service and repairs should be pretty easy as long as parts are OK to get. Looks well built and pretty straight forward plumbing wise I have no Idea whats involved inside those paddles?

Brett_H

Amazing pics... Thank you!

Koffee_Kosmo

Good to see inside a Slayer Thanks for the photos :thumb: KK

cosmic_couple22

Thanks for all the great support guys, be sure to put you all on top of the "social at cosmic couples" list :thumb: I have everything I need to do a temporary fit ;D but maybe I should show some paitence and wait till the shed is constructed (about 6 weeks) i'm in two minds :🙂 Chester

C-man

that's a tough decision lets see..... 1. sit there and look at a new green Slayer for 6 weeks or 2. hook it up (which needs to be done anyway) and start enjoying it.

Brett_H

Restraint is good but life is too short. Hook that bad-boy up... Stat!

Lwowiak

Congratulations on your acquisition! May it bring you many years of joy and fulfillment. Thank you for sharing the photos of the inside of the Slayer, it was great to see the build quality. I must admire your resolve. It must be extremely frustrating to have a new toy that you can touch, but not play with. Just hook it up.... you know you want to.

cosmic_couple22

I might look at installing her tomorrow, shed builders will need great coffee to keep them going won't they? In the meantime here is the bowling ally bench top I have been working on, 2nd coat today with plenty of fine sanding and many more coats of clear to come. [attach=1] 2.6 meters long by a bit over 1 meter wide. Think it will look great under the slayer. Bench top is being fitted on some old industrial steel workers benches. Chester

C-man

I like it, was there any more of that wood? C-
