A clean up of the interface and quantify all the numbers = great tool for roasters. Blend it all with your sensory skills and it cements what you know is happening and gives extra values to recognise critical points of change so if you want to make changes to your profile for a specific result it lessens even more the hit and miss factor. Sounds good Chester, I verified against a couple of my roasts, and it came close although not exact. I had a look at the calcs, and refined the ROR slightly to allow a decimal point rather than only whole number d/m. Adds a bit of extra scrolling. So hopefully my calcs are all correct, and do not blow out at some unplanned for usage, and the various limits are within useful ranges. I reckon its probably good enough to get within reasonable limits, the rest will require some common (roasting) sense. But mainly I have tarted up the User Interface to make it (hopefully) easier to understand and use. It's a bit busy and possibly over the top once you have used it a couple of times, but it should hopefully be easier to use for 1st timers. If needed because someone does not have or use Excel, I can convert it into Flash, but that will take a bit of work, and will only do so if there is a demand. If anyone else finds it useful and/or finds problems with it - then feel to provide feedback. Roast Designer V3 attached: Regards, Graham
