After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

I've had my Krups expresso machine forever and I love it.  I have a problem though now and need help.  When making the coffee water completely streams out around the edge of the pressure device in the middle where the ground coffee is placed.  Do I have a problem with the rubber seal??  Can someone suggest how I can fix this?
Thanks

  • Hi there - quick question: have you been back to the dealer you bought it from; or a Krups service agent?
  • Its a very old machine and bought second hand, but has been brilliant to this point.  Do you think I can just replace the rubber seal?
  • sounds like a seal to me try contacting the manufacturer the manufacturer to see if there is an authorised repairer in the area or do a you-tube search of 'how to replace a seal in a krups' - and see if anything pops up!
  • Thanks very much for your advice.  Will have a hunt around for my nearest dealer just in case.  Did take the seal out, cleaned whole area, then re-fitted seal around the metal filter and back into machine.  So far this seems to have resolved the problem.  Had a great cuppa coffee just now after a long break!  Thanks again for advice.
